Istanbul Tour

Amaze and enthral your students on a journey to Istanbul, heart of the last Islamic Caliphate state. On this trip you will spend four days in Istanbul. You will have the opportunity to the pray the Blue Mosque, visit Haga Sophia and spend a day at Topkapi Palace.

The palace houses amazing treasures such as the hair from the beard of our Prophet (saw), the sword of legendary Islamic hero’s such as Khalid bin Waleed, Umar bin Khattab to the doors of the Holy Kaa’ba from years gone by. Before you leave you will have time enjoy time in the old spice market.

 You will be fully escorted by a English speaking tour guide who will bring to life the fascinating Islamic History of Istanbul and Turkey.

Day 1: Arrive in Istanbul


Welcome to Turkey Istanbul Airport. Meet with Islamic School Tours staff and transfer to your hotel. Check into hotel and rest and then explore the city and surrounding areas. Pray at local Masjids and then dinner.

Day 2: Walking Tour & Topkapi Palace


We will start the morning by enjoying a buffet breakfast at the hotel. We will begin a walking tour to Topkapi Palace, (closed on Mondays) the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque and Covered Bazaar. (Closed on Sundays). Here students will be able to use study guides and the knowledge of the local tour guide to learn about the fascinating history of Turkey, the last Caliphate State. You and your students will be amazed to see the fascinating treasures at Topkapi Palace and pray at the famous Blue Mosque whilst learning about its history and construction.

Day 3: Kadikoy & The Grand Bazaar


Istanbul is the center of religion for centuries. After the ottoman period Islam througout the city. We will visit the first mosque in Istanbul which was built in Kadikoy on the Asian side of the city, which was conquered bythe Ottoman Turks in 1353. The first mosque on the European side of Istanbul was built inside the Rumeli Castle in 1452. The first grand mosque which was built in the city proper is the Eyup Sultan Mosque (1458), while the first imperial mosque inside the city walls was the Fatih Mosque (1470) which was built on the site of the Church of the Holy Apostles, an important Byzantine church which was originally edificed in the time of Constantine the Great. Dinner then overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Departure


After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Airport. If your flight time is later in the evening Islamic School Tours will organise a morning / afternoon of activities before you head to the airport. Transfer to Airport for onward flight
